From Accounting to Welding

You can gain credits for your academic program by passing the exam for a course you already know or have covered elsewhere, working with that course's instructor.

Keep in mind that these credits are not covered by financial aid so you must pay for these credits by exam yourself.

This exam evaluation costs $77 per credit and is a non-refundable fee prior to assessment. That $77 per credit fee is about a $100 less per credit cost than our tuition and fees credits.

It Saves Time, It Saves Money

Many students are unaware that they can move up their graduation or transfer dates by using this option which does save them money as well. The risk involved is that you pay the fee even if you don't pass the exam. But you do get individual attention from the course instructor to help prevent that outcome.

You can advance your placement in a given program like:

  • Accounting
  • Arabic
  • Architectural Technology
  • Dental Assistant
  • Economics
  • Graphic Design and Web Design
  • Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Information Technology
  • Japanese
  • Machine Tool - CNC Machinist
  • Photography & Digital Imaging
  • Spanish
  • Welding
