The New Minneapolis.edu!
The new Minneapolis College website launched today!
We are pleased to announce the new Minneapolis College website has been launched! As the College’s digital “front door”, it is designed to welcome online visitors and provide a positive experience through this modern and engaging platform.
With the launch, the website has transitioned from the external vendor’s ownership to our internal Information Technology Services and Marketing Communications teams now being able to refine and update it. This transition has been challenging and, over the next few weeks, work will continue to ensure the website is easy to use, contains accurate information and represents the Minneapolis College experience.
The website redevelopment team asked you what you needed in our website, and combined that information with best practices for higher education sites and others, to provide a much-improved online experience.
Noteworthy features include:
- Fresh new look – the website includes the College’s new branding, positioning the institution to the community it serves in a fresh new light;
- Mobile friendly – the site’s interface reformats and adapts for optimal readability and navigability for viewing on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone;
- One-Stop resource page for current students – this page on the site has access to all the important information and resources students need;
- Accessibility – the site is in full compliance with federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
A work in progress
As with any new website launch, fixing glitches are part of the process, and, as such, we ask for your patience during this time. Work in progress includes the staff directory, adding images and videos, insuring functionality of subdomains, and fixing some minor bugs. Content will also be updated on an ongoing basis with the launch and ending of the content freeze period which was necessary in the weeks leading up to the launch.
