Student Parent Center

MCTC’s Student Parent Center (SPC) is a comfortable place where student parents/guardians may study, use computers, attend our Student Parent Group meetings or other events or simply relax, while on campus. Any student parent/guardian of minor children, who follows the SPC expectations and rules, may use the SPC. Students may be accompanied by their children while using the center.  There are child friendly activities and toys as well as snacks available. 

Among other things, the SPC offers the following:

  • Computers
  • Printer/Copier/Scanner
  • Changing Table and Supplies
  • Snacks
  • Child friendly toys and activities
  • Student Parent Group
  • Parent/child events and activities
  • Academic Advising (on select days)
  • Comfortable seating
  • Lactation Room
  • Ongoing support with staff
  • Opportunities to connect with other student parents
  • Resources

The SPC is a service offered to MCTC students through the staff of the Student Support Center. For more information about the SPC, please call or stop by.

Our lactation room is located within the Student Parent Center (T 1000).  It is available for all students, employees and community members with college business.  The lactation room is open during the hours that the SPC is open. 

  • AFTER SPC HOURS: Individuals in need of utilizing the lactation room after SPC hours, may contact the Student Support Center at 612-659-6709 or by coming to T 2300 to request access – until 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. 
  • AFTER 4:30 PM AND WEEKENDS: Individuals in need of utilizing the lactation room after 4:30 PM Monday-Friday or on weekends, should contact Public Safety at 612-659-6910 or by coming by the Public Safety office (R 3100).
