Minneapolis College's Tiffni Deeb Nominated for Twin Cities CIO Award
Tiffni Deeb, Chief Information Officer at Minneapolis College, is a finalist for 2019 Twin Cities CIO of the Year Awards, known as the ORBIE. Deeb made the short list of 20 finalists from 140 nominees. Awards will be presented in five categories; Deeb is nominated in the Nonprofit (Higher Education) category.
The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program of its kind and recognizes chief information officers and those in equivalent senior IT leadership positions who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. This is the second year in Minneapolis/St. Paul, but the CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards program originated 20 years ago in the state of Georgia and has since expanded into other regions at the request of CIOs.
Vi Bergquist, CIO and IT VP from St Cloud Technical and Community College, is also among the 20 finalists, making that two CIOs from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities among the honorees. “For Minnesota State CIOs to have this presence in the selection process is quite impressive,” said Deanna Sheely, Chief Communications Officer at Minneapolis College.
The winners will be announced at the Twin Cities CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards breakfast on April 26, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. For more on the 2019 Twin Cities ORBIE Awards, visit the Minneapolis St. Paul Journal webpage.
