Kathy Rumpza to Lead Marketing at Minneapolis College
Creating awareness about high quality, affordable education is top priority.
Minneapolis College has announced the appointment of Kathy Rumpza as Director of Marketing and Communication. Rumpza brings more than 20 years of educational marketing leadership into her new role leading the college’s Marketing Communications Department.
“We are fortunate to have Kathy lead our marketing efforts as we continue providing transformational educational experiences for our students,” said Dr. Sharon Pierce, Minneapolis College president.
“It is especially important now, as our community responds to the impacts of COVID-19, that we create awareness about the hundreds of online courses available that prepare our students to help meet current workforce demands as well as those that are evolving.”
Rumpza, a native of Austin, Minn., has directed marketing communication and creative initiatives at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg University. Her background includes extensive experience elevating brand awareness and establishing value among key audiences. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Augsburg University.
