Kyle Samejima

Kyle’s educational journey began 25 years ago. After graduating high school, she took classes part time while working as Sous Chef and raising her three daughters.

In 2012, she came to Minneapolis College, and studied environmental science (Associates, ’14) and went on the University of Minnesota where she received a Bachelor of Individualized Study in Sustainability and Strategic Communications. She continues to keep in touch with her Minneapolis College friends who are fellow members of the Three Legged Frog Environmental Group.

Today, Kyle is the Executive Director at Minneapolis Climate Action, a local group focusing on recycling and green initiatives. Way to go Kyle!

Both Kyle and her daughter Sora received their college diplomas from the U of M this past
