Graphic designers combine typography, illustration and photography to create a visual language that surrounds us every day. Complete our graphic design certificate to learn the practical skills and design theory needed in this field. Graphic Design Professional Certificate

A graphic design professional is competent in print graphic design and production and can demonstrate expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. The capstone course in this certificate program combines design principles (i.e. color theory implementation, creative typography and conceptual skills) to help you produce a comprehensive project, which can later be printed and become part of your portfolio.

Continuing Education and Customized Training (CECT) art instructor Yuya Negishi visited fourth and fifth grade students to show them some of the skills he teaches in his Japanese Sumi-e Ink Painting and Calligraphy class at MCTC. "I see beauty through working with kids. I’m a teacher, but at the same time those students taught me a lot," he said.
