Ways to Give

It has become increasingly more expensive to attend college. Although two-year community colleges are much less expensive than four-year colleges the costs can still be insurmountable for many. Supporting the MCTC Foundation means supporting someone's chance to realize their dream of college.

Cash contributions

There are many ways to make a gift to the MCTC Foundation. The most common is a cash gift, but there are other options that might make sense for you or may offer significant tax savings to you. All gifts made to the Foundation are tax deductible.

Gifts can be made at any time. You can either donate online or send a check or money order payable to the MCTC Foundation:

Matching gifts

Many employers have matching gift programs that will double and sometimes even triple employee gifts to nonprofits like the MCTC Foundation. This is a great way for you to really maximize your donation.

If you don't see your company on this list, then contact your human resources department to see if your gift can be matched.

Planned gifts

You can include the MCTC Foundation in your will or trust, including living trusts and charitable remainder trusts. It is recommended that you discuss these options with your attorney and tax advisor. This is a great way for you to leave a lasting legacy with the Foundation.

This is a great way to avoid capital gains tax and receive a great tax deduction at the same time. Contributions of appreciated stock are popular to people who have had the stocks for a long time and want to avoid losing a significant portion of the value to capital gains taxes.

Power of Giving

Supporting the MCTC Foundation means supporting someone's chance to realize their dream of college through receiving a scholarship, grant or other support. Please consider giving today and empowering the lives of MCTC students! Donate online at give.minneapolis.edu
