Foundation Scholarships

A scholarship is money for your education that is awarded by a nonprofit foundation, government agency or employer, often in support of the organization’s mission and goals. Through generous donations, the Foundation is able to offer a variety of scholarships to MCTC students.

How to apply

The scholarship application period for 2017-2018 Scholarships is closed. Students will be notified if they received a scholarship via email and letter during summer session. Scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year will be applied directly to tuition and prorated between fall 2017 and spring 2018 semesters. Please see below for any open scholarships.

Scholarships

Abbott Laboratories offers support to high achieving financially-needy students enrolled in the Nursing Program.

This scholarship in honor of Sanders and Carolyn Ackerberg, provides financial support to students enrolled in a science program.

This scholarship in memory of Felix Ampah, provides financial support to MCTC graphic design students.

This scholarship provides tuition support to recent high school graduates with DACA, U-Visa Status or Temporary Protection Status and demonstrated financial need.

This scholarship provides tuition support to MCTC students who are Cedar Riverside residents.

This scholarship provides financial support to an MCTC student who has an interest in providing support to people in the wider community.

Provides financial support to an MCTC student that exhibits hard work through academic achievement and who possess a clear financial need due to family responsibilities

Provides support to MCTC students enrolled in a technical program with high potential for success and demonstrated financial need

Provides financial assistance to MCTC students with academic potential and success in their program with demonstrated commitment to issues affecting the American Indian community

This scholarship is for MCTC students that demonstrate academic success in the Machine Tool Program.

Provides scholarship support to high achieving, financially-needy MCTC students enrolled in a liberal arts or technical program

Provides financial support to MCTC students enrolled in their second year of the nursing program

Provides financial support to a foreign-born student enrolled in the MCTC Nursing program

Provides scholarship support to students who immigrated to the United States as minors prior to their 16th birthday and are not currently eligible for financial aid

Provides tuition support to students that live in North Minneapolis

Provides financial support to MCTC students enrolled in a STEM (science, math, engineering, technology) program

Provides tuition support to recent high school graduates with demonstrated financial need

St. Mark’s provides scholarship support to high achieving, financially-needy MCTC students that have experienced or are transitioning out of poverty and first generation college students that show a commitment to the North Minneapolis community.

Provides a tuition scholarship to a new or returning MCTC student with demonstrated financial need and good academic standing

This scholarship provides financial support to an MCTC student who exhibits hard work through academic achievement and shows preference to one who possesses a clear financial need due to family responsibilities. Students must have completed one semester of ESL curriculum.

Provides financial support to an MCTC student with academic potential and success in their program with the goal of working with women and children
