MCTC Foundation Scholarships

The Minneapolis Community & Technical College Foundation offers scholarships for MCTC students for fall and spring terms. Generous donors to the MCTC Foundation help make these scholarships possible. Last year, we awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to MCTC students. The number of students receiving private support is constantly increasing as we continue our scholarship fundraising drive. These scholarships are highly competitive and decisions are based on a very careful assessment of each applicant’s submitted application by the Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are typically awarded for one academic year or term (fall and spring; or spring only), unless otherwise noted. In most cases, recipients must reapply for any subsequent years. If you receive a scholarship from MCTC, you will be expected to write a thank you letter to the donor. Instructions will be provided. Please note that we have many more applicants for scholarships than we have funds to award, so not all students will receive a scholarship.

There are a limited number of scholarships for spring semester.  Spring 2018 scholarship applications are due by 4:00 PM on November 22, 2017.  Students will be notified by December 15, 2017.
