What? Seguimos en la LUCHA

When? Wednesday October 25th, 2017.

  • Session 1: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Session 2: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Where? L.3100

After many years of talks with the MCTC administration about the urgent need to create a space where Latinx students can get help and resources, we are one step closer to making this dream a reality. We invite you to help us envision an initiative that will be for students by students:
You will get to tell us how LUCHA (Latinos Unidos in College for Higher Achievement) can help your academic success as a new initiative for Latinx students at MCTC. When you first came to MCTC, did you find and received the help you needed? Was there someone who looked like you and you knew you could trust?
The time is now: We need your ideas because YOU will determine what LUCHA will become!
We invite you to come to one of our two sessions, be prepared to take part in interactive small-group conversations. Come with your ideas, your voice and your unapologetic self!

Light refreshments will be provided. No childcare available.
If you can’t come but would like to provide your input please contact Rosa Shannon at Rosa.Shannon@minneapolis.edu.
