Black History Month events at MCTC, hosted by AME

Black History Month 2017 at MCTCIn celebration of Black History Month, the African American Education Empowerment Program at MCTC (AME) has events that they will be hosting for the month of February.

Heritage Bowl V
Wednesday, Feb. 15
T.1400, 4-7 p.m.

This is a community event which occurs once every semester, where the MCTC community comes together for food, fellowship and Black history trivia. This is the special Black History Month version. Come join us for the fun (and the knowledge)!

Movie Night: "The African-Americans, Part II"
Friday, Feb. 17
H.2650, 5:30-7:40 p.m.

The African-Americans is the acclaimed documentary series created by PBS. The documentary has six parts with each part being showed once a month throughout the spring semester. This series speaks about how African- Americans came to the United States and the history of their existence here from the 1600s to 2013. There will be an open dialogue after the movie.

Game Night
Friday, Feb. 24
H.2650, 6-9 p.m.

Do you play spades? How about domino? Board games? Any games? Well then this is an event that you will love. This is a community-building event, focusing on coming together as a community for recreation and fun. Game Night is the same idea as sitting together as a family for a meal.
