High School Upward Bound

Welcome to The High School Upward Bound Program (HSUB)! We are an academic support program for high school youths. HSUB provides counseling, academic courses, and supportive services to students whose goal is to successfully complete a post secondary educational program upon completion of high school. At HSUB housed on the MCTC campus, we work with students at Twin Cities High Schools.

High School Upward Bound participants include high school students who:

Eligibility requirements

Qualified students are enrolled at MCTC with intent to graduate and/or transfer to an institution granting Bachelor's degrees. Eligibility is subject to proof of at least one of the following characteristics:

Federal TRIO Programs Annual Low Income Levels 2007-08 School Year (2006 Taxable Income) Effective February 2007 until further notice.

The High School Upward Bound Program is one of the TRIO Programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Other HSUB programs are located at Columbia College, Chicago and at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.

Where are we

The HSUB Offices are located on MCTC's downtown campus at 1501 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

We are across the street from the Basilica of St Mary, and we border beautiful Loring Park.We are on the third floor of this mansion, which is over 100 years old. It is the last remaining mansion by the park.
