Student ID card
A student ID card is...
- based on your Student Identification Number, which is assigned to you once
you apply to MCTC. When you begin taking classes at MCTC, you are eligible
for a Student ID Card.
- something that you can get after the first week of classes from the Open
Computer Lab in T.3200 if you have registered for classes
for the first time. You should bring a copy of your class schedule to the
Lab.
- a laminated card that includes your name, Student Identification Number and
picture (which must be taken in our Open Computer Lab), identifying you as an
MCTC student.
- useful if you need customer service at the Student Services Center, Business
Office, Bookstore, Public Safety or Parking Ramp. The MCTC Student ID Card
is also your "ticket" to use college resources such as the library
and computer lab.
- valid for the current semester as well as for the following school years and
does not expire, unless otherwise noted by MCTC.
You can get your student identification card by...
...bringing a copy of your class schedule or fee statement (showing that you
are registered for the current semester) and an an official identification card
which has your name and picture clearly shown (like a Driver's License or passport)
to the Open Computer Lab. (You can print a copy of your class schedule from
the computer when you register for classes online.)
Refer to the Computer Labs webpage to find out when you can get your Student ID card.
If you lose your student ID card...
...you must pay a $5.00 replacement fee in Business Services in order to replace
it. (Only your first Student ID Card is free!) Take the paid receipt that the
Business Office gives to you to the Open Computer Lab, and the staff will issue
you a new Student ID Card. You'd also have to follow this process if your card
was lost, stolen, damaged or broken. Remember, you must bring the paid receipt
to the Open Computer Lab before a card can be issued.
