The available feature will appear in your display above the key that activates that feature. Help on these keys is available by pressing the <HELP> key, followed by the appropriate softkey.

MIC - This softkey toggles your speaker's microphone on and off.
Remember, in order to conduct a hands-free phone conversation with someone, your MIC must be on. If left off, called party will not be able to hear you.
PICK - This feature will allow a user to pick up any ringing phone from within the call pickup group, from his/her own phone.
To pick up a call coming in to another user's extension - from your phone - lift handset or press Speaker button, then press the <PICK> softkey.
S&R - The Save and Repeat <S&R> feature allows you to save one number to be dialed at another time.
Before hanging up an existing outbound call, press <S&R> softkey. The phone number will automatically be saved. To dial that number, pick up the handset, press <S&R> and call will be placed.
MUTE - This softkey allows you to Mute your handset so the caller cannot hear you.
To activate press the <MUTE> softkey to mute handset, headset or speaker. Press the <MUTE> key again to cancel.
L-OUT - This softkey allows you to logout on your IP phone.
To logout press the <L-OUT> softkey. LOGOUT? is displayed. Press <L-OUT> key again.
FBNA - This softkey allows you to send your calls to another extension when your phone is busy or not answered.

Conference calling

To set up three-way conferencing

Campus, local, or long distance numbers can participate in the conference call.
If one party hangs up, the other two remain connected- provided one is a MCTC number.

Eight party conference instructions

User wishing to establish the conference (Conference Leader) must call and reserve the conference bridge with the ITS Help Desk at ext. 6600.

Conference leader needs to notify each member of the conference call to dial Ext. 6001, or if calling off campus, they must dial 612-659-6001.

Conference connection is established automatically when the member dials into the conference bridge. It is recommended that the Conference Leader dial into the conference bridge prior to other callers in order to "establish" the connection. (This is NOT required, but recommended so that when outside callers dial into the conference bridge, they know when they are connected.)

Once all parties are on the conference call, conference leader must dial "0" to set privacy. This will deny further access to the conference. THIS MUST BE DONE BY THE FIRST PERSON DIALED INTO THE BRIDGE.

If additional parties are needed, dial "0" and this will allow additional parties to be added. Dialing "0" again will set privacy.

To end the conference call dial "#" and this will disconnect all parties.
