Employee email assistance

GroupWise email
MCTC uses GroupWise as its messaging system. GroupWise gives you the ability to
send and receive email messages, schedule appointments for yourself and with your
MCTC colleagues, and store contact information.
- Your GroupWise email account Username is the same as the network Username,
the first six letters of your last name (or all of your last name if it is less
than six letters) PLUS the first two letters of your first name. For instance,
Frank Sinatra would have a Username of sinatrfr.
- Like the network account, faculty and staff have GroupWise accounts created for them once
their dean or supervisor places a request with ITS.
- To access your GroupWise e-mail while on campus, use the GroupWise
software loaded on your computer.
- Your Internet Email address is your FirstName (dot) LastName (at) minneapolis.edu.
(Note: first and last names are as they appear in the GroupWise system.)
- GroupWise email messages remain in the system for 120 days after you
read them and are then automatically deleted.
- If you don't know or have forgotten your password, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 612-659-6600 for assistance.
- GroupWise passwords do not have to be changed, although we recommend you change them regularly.
