If you have previously attended or been admitted to Minneapolis Community and Technical College, Minneapolis Technical College or Minneapolis Community College do not submit a new application for admission as it will delay your enrollment. Returning students must be readmitted to the College prior to enrollment.
To be readmitted to the College, please print, complete and submit the Application for Readmission form to the Student Services Center (T.2200).
Reapplying for admission does not guarantee your readmission and enrollment at Minneapolis Community and Technical College or its career/technical programs. All students in continuous career/technical programs, who have been away from the college for one or more terms, must be readmitted to the program major and comply with the program requirements in effect when returning to the college. Reacceptance into a career/technical program is contingent upon review of your application file, academic status and space availability in the technical program major.
A student's academic record and placement test results must meet the program's requirements and space must be available in order to enroll. Refer to the college catalog for specific career/technical program requirements. Returning students that have a hold or suspension on their record may be required to complete additional steps before they may be eligible to enroll in classes.
Once the Application for Readmission form is received and processed, you will be contacted by the Admissions Office regarding your next steps to re-enrollment at MCTC.
You are required to have a current placement test on file or completed required course prerequisites in order to register for most classes. If your placement scores are no longer valid or you have not completed the necessary prerequisites, you may be required to complete the college placement test. View the Take your placement tests webpage for more details regarding hours, preparation, transfer of scores from other institutions.
If you have attended any other college or university since you last attended MCTC, please submit official copies of your transcript(s) to the Office of the Registrar and refer to the Transfer student admission process for additional information regarding transfer of credit. Students needing financial aid, veteran's benefits or transfer of credit are required to submit official transcripts from all colleges previously attended regardless of grades or academic standing.
Some career programs require more than the completed admission process for eligibility. If you are applying to the following programs please contact the appropriate area listed below to learn about the additional admission requirements that exist for these programs.
