Like a grant, you do not have to pay back scholarships. There are a variety of scholarships offered each year by the MCTC Foundation. To be considered for a scholarship, you must have a FAFSA application on file along with personal essays and letters of application. Specific criteria are listed in each scholarship application form.
Scholarship applications are accepted twice a year in the fall and spring. You can obtain further information regarding scholarships by calling the College Advancement Office at 612-659-6313.
Scholarships are available outside of MCTC and are awarded to students in varying amounts based on academic, achievement, career/academic goals, membership in an organization, or financial need. You can find out about scholarships offered by non-profit organizations, service groups, companies and government agencies by visiting the library or going to http://www.fastweb.com/ or http://www.finaid.org/.
