Like a grant, you do not have to pay back scholarships. There are a variety of scholarships offered each year by the MCTC Foundation. To be considered for a scholarship, you must have a FAFSA application on file along with personal essays and letters of application. Specific criteria are listed in each scholarship application form.
You can obtain a list of scholarships and an application online or by calling the College Advancement Office at 612-659-6315. Scholarship applications are also available at the Student Services Center, T.2200 and Counseling and Advising, T.2250.
Scholarships are available outside of MCTC and are awarded to students in varying amounts based on academic, achievement, career/academic goals, membership in an organization, or financial need. You can find out about scholarships offered by non-profit organizations, service groups, companies and government agencies by visiting the library or going to http://www.fastweb.com/ or http://www.finaid.org/.
