  • Americans for Radio Diversity
    A Minneapolis based non-profit organization who's mission is to promote community-oriented commercial and public radio broadcasting.
  • AMARC (World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters)
    An international non-governmental organization serving the community radio movement, with almost 3 000 members and associates in 106 countries.
  • Black Liberation Radio (Not currently in operation)
    Provides a documentary history of Black Liberation Radio. For six years, Black Liberation Radio, a small unlicensed pirate radio station in Decatur, Illinois has courageously exposed police brutality, official misconduct, and government attacks on the black community.   • Free Radio Berkeley
    Founded on April 11, 1993 as a Free Speech voice challenging the regulatory structure and power of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Free Radio Berkeley is engaged in ongoing legal battle with the FCC.     Free Radio New Orleans' focus is on breaking the corporate control over our society and creating progressive social change. FRNO supports artist under independent labels to help destroy the corporate music industry's influence on our culture. FRNO assists progressive organizations which challenge abusive institutions, whether it be corporate, government, or hate groups.

    The National Radio Project heightens public consciousness, broadens public debate on critical social issues and encourages civic participation by giving voice to diverse perspectives and opinions not typically heard on mass media. You can listen to past broadcasts online with RealAudio. MCTC also owns many of the broadcasts on tape. Simply search the library catalof using a Title Search for "Making Contact" to locate all the audio tapes in the series.
