MCTC is a two-year college located in downtown Minneapolis, serving the diverse, multicultural communities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. We provide a comprehensive offering of developmental, liberal arts, pre-professional, professional, and technical programs.

Responsibilities:

This position exists to coordinate and execute the communications and marketing for Minneapolis Community and Technical College, to include writing and editing all major college publications, managing and editing web content, coordinating media relations, developing internal communications, and planning and implementing special events.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field
  • Experience in a position that required knowledge of one or more of the following; communications, marketing, advertising, web strategies and print production including vehicles that use the latest strategies and technologies.
  • Experience in a position that required strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in MS office programs, database and electronic mail skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4 or more years of related experience. 
  • Experience that required a high level of organizational and human relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle several tasks at once, to work well under multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively present information in both written and verbal formats.
  • A broad knowledge of higher education’s, political and government processes.
  • Experience managing web content and internal communications tactics.
Salary: $18.72-$27.46
