MCTC is a two-year college located in downtown Minneapolis, serving the diverse, multicultural communities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. We provide a comprehensive offering of developmental, liberal arts, pre-professional, professional, and technical programs.

Responsibilities:
This position has overall responsibility for
  • planning, implementing, providing, and evaluating all academic and administrative technology;
  • directing strategic and operational planning and research for technology and information activities including information security
  • supervising IT professionals  and managing essential  IT-related projects;
  • assuring that our technological capacity is aligned with our primary mission of teaching and learning;

The person in this position serves four MCTC campus locations and  coordinates enterprise application and wide area network services with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) IT services staff. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Familiarity with the principles and practices of administration and supervision of IT department, including budget development, project management, task assignment and performance evaluation.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills sufficient to convey information effectively to a wide array of clientele.  
  • Experience in support of the teaching and learning process. 
  • Experience with design and administration of IT enterprise level networks and applications.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain professional relationships with a wide variety of clientele from a diverse community of administrators, faculty, students and staff.
  • Policy level experience with information assurance and security.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in related field
  • Doctorate Degree is highly desirable
  • Experience with IP convergence technology
Salary: $77,581 - $124,133
