The H.E.R.B. Club is a network of students interested in the rapidly growing fields of Health Science and nature as one, broadening their knowledge of the Earth and our place in it. The Club will also take an active role in the community involving environmental actions promoting sustainable living and natural healing through the Earth.
The Math Club provides an engaging environment to further students' interest in mathematical problem solving and mathematical theory with an ultimate goal of increasing mathematical problem solving skills and introducing challenging problems that fall outside of the core Math curriculum. Tutors and Associates promotes the virtues of the Learning Center to the study body, helps MCTC students down the path to becoming more independent learners by helping members to become more effective tutors and increasing tutor proficiency by facilitating the sharing of best practices and occasionally sending tutors to educational events.
The Chamber Ensemble is for instrumentalists who enjoy playing a variety of works from the Renaissance through the 20th Century. We also rehearse and perform music from a variety of Folk idioms. Participants must provide their instrument with the exception of piano and some percussion.
The College Choir is for all who enjoy singing and are interested in improving their musicianship and vocal skills. We rehearse and perform works from classical to music from all over the world.
The Jazz Ensemble is for instrumentalists as well as vocalists who are interested in learning how to perform in the Jazz idiom. We rehearse and perform works from as many Jazz eras and genres as possible with a focus on Combo/Ensemble rather than Big Band repertoire.
Students may experience live theatre as audience members, participants in the production process and as performers.
The Vocal Ensemble is for experienced choral singers who are interested in performing primarily unaccompanied music. We rehearse and perform a wide range of styles, from Classical to World to Jazz and Pop. Open by audition.
