Registering for classes

Once you have completed an MCTC application for admission, you are eligible to register. If you are a degree-seeking student, you must have completed the admission and placement testing procedures, and attended a new student orientation before registering for classes.

(If you are registering for a non-credit course offered through Continuing Education, these requirements do not apply. Visit Continuing Education's website for more information.)

What every student must know

You are responsible for your registration, including academic consequences that result from your schedule.

You are responsible for all tuition and fee charges resulting from your registration, and to meet the payment due date indicated in the class schedule.

MCTC reserves the right to drop you from courses for which you have not met the prerequisite requirements or have not tested into based on the results from your placement tests.

The College may drop you from classes for non-payment of tuition and fees.

Registration dates

Dates vary depending on type of student: returning, new degree seeking or non-degree seeking. Refer to the academic calendar for a complete listing of dates and deadlines.

The Office of Academic Affairs reserves the right to cancel a course or course section after the schedule has been published if the associate vice president of academic affairs determines that it would be in the best interest of the College. Students who registered for a course that has been cancelled will be notified via phone and mail.
