Are you ready for an online course? Some things to consider...
It is not recommended that you register for an online course if the only access
you have to a computer is at the College's computer lab, a friend's house,
a library, or at work. The inconvenience of not having your own
computer will interfere with your ability to participate effectively in the class and meet assignment due dates; owning a personal computer with Internet access provides
you with the flexibility you need to take an online course.
It is critical that online students have strong writing skills and are proficient at expressing their ideas in writing. The communication that takes place in a virtual classroom is mostly written communication.
Lastly, learning online is just as demanding as learning in the traditional classroom
setting. Many students have noted that online learning actually requires more
time and commitment. The successful student will view online learning as a more
convenient way, and not an easier way, to take a class.

- How do I open documents that are in my course?
- You may click on the document link to open it. However, the best way is to right-click the link and open it in a new window.
