Get your transcript evaluated

Arrange to have official transcripts of all previously attended U.S. colleges and vocational schools sent to the Office of the Registrar when you apply to MCTC:

Minneapolis Community and Technical College
Office of the Registrar
1501 Hennepin Avenue
Minneapolis, Minnesota 55403-1707

The number of credits accepted will be recorded on your MCTC transcript and the MCTC course equivalencies will be recorded on your DARS report.

Transcripts are evaluated in the order they are received.

While you are waiting for the evaluation you can meet with a counselor or advisor for a preliminary review of how your courses will transfer to MCTC, and you can also use U.select, a self advising tool, to review how your courses may transfer to MCTC.

Once the evaluation is complete your transfer courses will appear on the degree audit.

You will be notified by mail that your evaluation is complete and you should schedule an appointment with the Counseling and Advising Office for degree, diploma or certificate completion planning.

If you have questions about a transfer decision please contact a Transfer specialist in the Office of the Registrar (Student Services).

If your college transcript is from outside the U.S., you must also submit it to an evaluation agency such as ECE and request that a course-by-course evaluation be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. If the transcript is not in English, it must be translated into English by the evaluation agency or you must provide a certified, literal translation.
