How to transfer to MCTC
You may transfer to MCTC in one of following ways:
- Reenter the U.S. by presenting the new I-20 from MCTC, evidence of financial support, and a passport with a valid F-1 visa stamp at your place of entry to the U.S. If you have a valid F-1 entry visa stamp with the name of a school other than MCTC, you may still use that visa for reentry to attend MCTC.
- Remain in the U.S. and follow the process to have your I-20 transferred to MCTC. This process must be completed within the first 15 days of your first semester at MCTC. Bring the following items to the ISA to complete the transfer:
- Passport
- I-94
- I-20 from your previous school
- Transfer Recommendation Form from your previous Foreign Student Adviser
- Your new MCTC I-20
The Transfer Recommendation Form may be mailed, faxed directly to the ISA or Admission Office, or you may bring it with you when you meet with the ISA. The deadline for processing a visa transfer is the 15th day of class. You must begin your program at MCTC within 5 months of the completion of classes at the previous school.
