Continuing Ed for Nursing Professionals
We offer a variety of continuing education opportunities for nurses and other allied health professionals, including:
- Attend the Perioperative Nursing course to learn about the operating room environment and role of the Perioperative Registered Nurse.
- Renew your RN or LPN registration by registering for the Nursing Refresher course.
- If you are a RN responsible for training CNAs, take the Train the Trainer for Nursing Assistant Instructors course and learn adult education techniques.
- Prepare to take the Nursing Assistant Test Out and take the test!
- Become a Trained Medication Administration Assistant (TMAA).
- Refresh or learn the Basic Life Saving Skills required for healthcare providers.
NEW in Nursing, Healthcare and Social Work
We're introducing a variety of new courses this fall in the nursing, allied health, holistic health and counseling/social work areas. You can:
- take the Electroencephalography (EEG) Review Course to prepare you to sit for the Part I written national EEG board exam.
- start the training required for Social Work supervision in long term care settings. (Supervisors must have completed 30 hours by 8/1/11.)
- take the Mental Health and Aging and Finding Your Way Through the Maze of Aging Services courses designed for anyone working with older adults.
- learn how to build infrastructure and brand your program for optimal employee health in our Design and Deliver a Winning Wellness Program course.
- learn how to become a registered professional hair braider by taking Public Health, Safety & Sanitation Training for Professional Hair Braiders
- learn about the relationship between your health and your home in our new series from Loris Gregory, holistic health coach
Nonprofit Organization and Operation
Are you considering starting a nonprofit? A board member or volunteer at a new nonprofit organization? Our Nonprofit Organization and Operation: A Hands-On, How-To Approach was designed with you in mind. A flexible format tailored to the needs of class participants will help you discover the means and tools necessary to launch and sustain a successful nonprofit endeavor.
