March Madness Congratulations
The boys state tournament just ended and I would like to congratulate all the coaches and teams that competed. Several high school coaches that deserve special recognition include good friends John Moore (Benilde), John Sherman (MTS), John Hedstrom(MInnetonka), Ed Cassidy (St Bernards) and Dan Ninham (Cass Lake).
Our college friends that deserve a pat on the back include Jim Russell at Central Lakes for his run at the national tournament, Steve Fritz(St Thomas) for his MIAC championship and Matt Morganthaler(Mankato) for winning the NCC title.
We really do have some outstanding coaches in the state, these guys are just a few that have been close to our program over the years.
And what about Winona and the job Mike Leaf and assistant coach Tom Brown have done. Wow!
I can't believe that the final four is next weekend. The season will come to an official end with the playing of "One Shining Moment" and we will all start our basketball life cycle once again.
