After reading the general information above, apply online for admission to MCTC. If you are currently an MCTC student, don't reapply — proceed to Step 7. If you have questions, contact the Admissions Office.
Submit the Intent to Pursue the Online A.A. degree form to let us know of your plans.
If you cannot come to campus, take your placement tests at any institution that uses the Accuplacer Reading, Writing, and Math tests, which are the MnSCU system endorsed tests. The scores from these tests can be faxed to 612-659-6265.
If you cannot arrange for proctored testing, or have other questions, contact the Director of Assessment and Testing by email or at 612-659-6260.
You must meet the prerequisite requirements for any course you plan to take. If you do not place at college level, you can take Adult Basic Education courses or developmental college courses on campus at MCTC or elsewhere prior to starting the Online A.A. degree.
If you've attended a previous college, you may be able to waive placement testing.
Apply for financial aid if you need money for school. You must reapply for financial aid each year you attend school. If you have questions, email the Financial Aid Office.
Receive your MCTC ID and PIN by mail from the Admissions Office.
View the Online A.A. orientation once you have received your MCTC ID and PIN. The orientation session explains how to register for online courses.
You must complete the Online A.A. orientation in order to register for classes.
Register for classes online using e-Services. If you have questions, contact the eAdvisor.
You may also use e-Services to view your fee statement, financial aid, class schedule and unofficial transcripts online.
Pay for your tuition and fees by the tuition payment deadlines or your classes will be dropped. Contact the Business Services Office if you have third party billing or a scholarship.
