Student Services

Veterans Services

MCTC has a long, proud history of veteran students attending our college. Veterans, and their dependents using veterans education funding, follow the same admissions process as all students in addition to applying for veterans funding. We have staff available to assist you in the enrollment process and to provide guidance in the veterans benefit application process.

How to apply as a Veteran:

Veterans Welcome Center

Located in H.2300, this room is a location for veteran students to relax, socialize and do homework. Staffed by student veterans, you will find peer information and support as well as computer labs available for your use. This is also a meeting room for the MCTC Chapter of the Student Veterans of America.

TRIO Veterans Upward Bound

Located in H.2400, Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) offers free college prep courses in writing, reading, math, science, computer literacy, Spanish and study skills. VUB is a full service education center with a team of employees, to assist veteran students.

Minnesota State College's and Universities Veterans Education Transfer System (VETS)

VETS is a pioneering, nationally-recognized, web-based search tool for current and former service members that can help provide accurate, easily accessible and personalized information prior to your application or admission to the College. The system uses American Council on Education recommendations to help campuses align military training with academic program courses.

Veterans Upward Bound

Veterans Upward Bound has helped hundreds of veterans successfully complete college and build careers in their chosen fields.
