Classes that typically begin at 5 p.m. or later on Tuesday, Feb. 7, are cancelled due to Minnesota precinct caucuses and State statute that requires colleges to cancel evening classes. Other college offices and services (Library, Computer Labs, Learning Center) will maintain regular operating hours.

Spring Transfer Fair

On Feb. 8, representatives from 4-year colleges and universities will be recruiting MCTC students for their institutions. They will be available between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 - 3 p.m. in the T Building Skyway.

On Feb. 9, a representative from Columbia University will be on campus from 12 - 1 p.m. in H.2900 to speak with Veterans and other students.

Spirit and Soul: Celebrating Black History Month

 At MCTC, more than 80 different languages and dialects are spoken on campus. We foster an inclusive culture that encourages initiative, values uniqueness, respects differences, challenges individual capabilities and provides equal opportunities.

The Multicultural Student Services office helps students of diverse ethnic groups succeed in their college experience by providing the following services:

  • Advising MCTC student clubs/groups
  • Assisting with financial aid and scholarships
  • Creating awareness of college policies and procedures
  • Assisting with ESL placement and referrals to ESL programs
  • Providing accurate and appropriate college information to members of multicultural communities
  • Making appropriate referrals for personal, social and psychological issues
  • Acting as a liaison between students and faculty
