Classes that typically begin at 5 p.m. or later on Tuesday, Feb. 7, are cancelled due to Minnesota precinct caucuses and State statute that requires colleges to cancel evening classes. Other college offices and services (Library, Computer Labs, Learning Center) will maintain regular operating hours.

Spring Transfer Fair

On Feb. 8, representatives from 4-year colleges and universities will be recruiting MCTC students for their institutions. They will be available between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 - 3 p.m. in the T Building Skyway.

On Feb. 9, a representative from Columbia University will be on campus from 12 - 1 p.m. in H.2900 to speak with Veterans and other students.

Spirit and Soul: Celebrating Black History Month

Plan Your Courses for Transfer

You should plan ahead if you intend to take classes at MCTC and transfer the credits to another college or university. Follow these steps to get the process started:

  • Talk to your advisor about how MCTC’s degrees transfer to various 4-year colleges and universities.
  • If you don't think you'll transfer to a public college or university in Minnesota, your advisor can guide you in selecting acceptable basic general education courses.
  • If you know your major, you are advised to complete standard courses for that major in your freshman and sophomore year with general education courses.
