Declaring and Selecting the Right Courses for Your Major
Declaring your major
Students declare their major at the time of application to the college and can pursue no more than 3 majors at one time. Students are able to make changes to their declared major by completing the Declaration of Major form and submitting to Student Services. Declaration of a major does not guarantee enrollment in that major. All prerequisites and admission criteria must be met prior to enrollment.
Selecting the right courses for your major
Creating an academic plan
Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their assigned advisor to create an academic plan for their major. This will include all of the courses you need to complete your major and when you should plan on completing those courses. We advise that you meet with your advisor once per semester to discuss any changes or updates to your academic plan to ensure that you remain on track to graduation/transfer.
