Fine Arts Festival Marks Spring at MCTC

Theater, fine arts, music and talent are the highlights of MCTC’s month-long Fine Arts Festival. The festival kicks off with the College’s spring show A Flea in Her Ear, features Fine Arts student work on display all month long and includes original musical production Calculus: The Musical! and the MCTC Choir's spring concert.

A study by the Wilder Institute determined Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) contributes $377 million to the Twin Cities metro area economy. This figure takes into account the College's annual operating budget, spending by employees and students, direct jobs created by the College and its students and jobs created by contractors and suppliers.

A Flea In Her Ear—April 10–13, 2013

Minneapolis Community and Technical College, in association with MCTC Student Life, present their spring play production of A Flea in Her Ear. Written in 1907 by Georges Feydeau, the “classic bedroom farce” tells a comedic story of distrust and miscommunication.

Spring Graduation and Job Fairs

Student Success Day 2013

Join MCTC on April 5 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. for the spring Graduation Fair and Graduate Job Fair. Students planning to participate in the May 20 commencement ceremony must attend the Graduation Fair. The Job Fair will connect students to dozens of potential employers in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.

MCTC–Thermo King Partnership

Thermo King President Ray Pittard and MCTC President Phil Davis

MCTC was awarded $300,000 by the Department of Employment and Economic Development Minnesota Job Skills Partnership to develop and implement lean process improvement training. The training will be delivered to more than 550 engineering, design and management staff at Minnesota-based Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand.
