Introduction and Use Guidelines
This Tutorial is a self-paced instructional resource. The Pre-Test is designed to test your knowledge before you begin. The Lessons provide detailed instruction and are the core of the Tutorial. To take full advantage of the Tutorial you should read each lesson before you attempt to take the quizzes, or do the assignemnts or database exercises. There is a Quiz for each lesson which allows you to test your understanding of the information presented . The Assignments allow you to apply what you have learned by performing actual tasks. Some of the assignments are electronic and some require you to print out a form. There is an answer sheet provided for each of the written assignments. Guided Exercises provide hands-on searching experience using the Internet and electronic databases. .
In order to take the quizzes you must be using either Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher, or Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. To check the version of your browser go to the "Help" option on the menu bar and select either "About Netscape," "About Communicator," or "About Internet Explorer." If you are using a browser below 4.0 you will need to download and install a new version. You can download a new version of Netscape for free by going to the Netscape download page. You can download a new version of Internet Explorer for free by going to Internet Explorer download page.

other assignments.
