Program description
Become part of the Digital Animation revolution with MCTC’s Digital Animation program. Using cutting edge technology, you will get the skills you need in 3-D computer based animation, computer imaging and special effects from passionate, experienced teachers to get an edge up in one of the world’s fastest growing industries.
Program start and location
New students are admitted into the Cinema programs in the fall semester only. Courses are taught on MCTC’s main campus. You will spend considerable time outside the classroom working on productions.

What you will learn
- You will get training in the art and craft of digital animation using a combination of aesthetic, technical and theoretical approaches.
- You will gain skills for creating three-dimensional, computer-based animation, computer graphic imaging and special effects.
- You will establish strong collaborations with students from other departments use emerging technologies.
- You will express yourself using moving images and sound and learn the art of visual storytelling.
