All Minneapolis Community and Technical College and Metropolitan State Minneapolis campus buildings will close on Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m. and remain closed on Thursday, Dec. 25. The campus will be open to employees only on Friday, Dec. 26.

The campus will resume normal hours on Saturday, Dec. 27.

Graphic Design Professional Certificate

A graphic design professional is competent in print graphic design and production and can demonstrate expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. The capstone course in this certificate program combines design principles (i.e. color theory implementation, creative typography and conceptual skills) to help you produce a comprehensive project, which can later be printed and part of your portfolio.

MCTC–Thermo King Partnership

MCTC was awarded $300,000 by the Department of Employment and Economic Development Minnesota Job Skills Partnership to develop and implement lean process improvement training. The training will be delivered to more than 550 engineering, design and management staff at Minnesota-based Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand.
