Graduate Minnesota Scholarship

Graduate Minnesota

You started college once but family, jobs or finances – just life in general – got in the way. Maybe you weren’t sure where you were headed, but now you’re ready to get back on track. You’re not alone. You may be closer to completing your college degree than you think and Graduate Minnesota is about helping you get there.

If you’re ready, we want you back

We’re offering up to $1,500 in scholarship support to eligible students who register for summer or fall 2012. We’ll connect you with the resources you need to get back to school and help you develop a plan to complete your degree.

Invest in yourself

A college degree is one of the best ways to boost your lifetime earnings. The numbers might surprise you. On average, a person with an associate’s degree makes about $10,000 per year more than a person with only a high school diploma. And a graduate with a bachelor’s degree makes, on average, $29,000 a year more than someone with only a high school diploma.

College graduates are also less likely to be unemployed. In 2010, people with only a high school diploma had a 10.3% unemployment rate, compared to 7% for those with associate’s degrees and 5.4% for people with bachelor’s degrees.

You have options

At MCTC, you can complete your two-year Associate of Arts degree and then transfer to a four-year program. We also offer a wide array of career and technical certificates, diplomas, and degrees – some completely unique to MCTC. Many courses are offered at night, on weekends, or online, to help you fit them into your busy schedule.

MCTC’s financial aid office will help you find the best financial aid option for you. Grants, loans, scholarships, employer-based assistance and military benefits are available for returning students. And to help you complete your degree, the MCTC Foundation is offering scholarships of up to $1,500 for your tuition and books.

Graduate Minnesota. Complete your degree.
