MCTC's MnSCU Outstanding Educators
Three Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) faculty members have been honored with the 2015 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) Outstanding Educator award. Linda Russell (Reading), Taiyon Coleman (English) and Kim Munson (Machine Tool Technology) were nominated from the College community, tasked with compiling an extensive portfolio of their professional work and awarded the distinguished honor earlier this month.
NASA Senior Scientist at MCTC
The MCTC STEM Career Internship Club, in collaboration with Augsburg College, invites all students, faculty and staff MCTC to a great lecture by Dr. Anne Douglass, senior scientist of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.
The lecture, Finding My Way Through the Ozone Layer, will take place Tuesday, April 14 from 1:15-2:15 p.m. in S.2400.
Spirit and Soul
The Basilica of Saint Mary and MCTC will present Spirit and Soul, A Celebration of Black Performance Styles. This evening of dance, song, and poetry will bring to you performance styles of the Caribbean, West Africa, Brazil, and the United States.
McKnight Artist Fellow Named
MCTC English Instructor Shannon Gibney is one of four local writers to receive the Loft Literary Center’s $25,000 award for their excellence in creative prose writing.
