Power of Giving Luncheon

The MCTC Foundation held its 4th annual Power of Giving Fundraiser Luncheon on May 17 and raised $80,000 to support the programs which help make a college education affordable and accessible to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue their dreams through higher education.
Funds pledged at the luncheon will help students pay for necessities like books, transportation, child care and rent.
This year, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak addressed the crowd of nearly 400 attendees about what MCTC has meant to the surrounding community. Several students spoke about their personal educational journeys and how they were empowered to achieve their goals through the support offered at MCTC.
A special thanks to the donors, sponsors, table captains and MCTC Foundation board members for their tremendous support of this event.
