Oct. 24 event at MCTC sheds light on sexual exploitation and domestic violence
MCTC’s Student Support Center is sponsoring FROM SURVIVE TO THRIVE: Domestic Violence, Sexual Exploitation and Bullying Awareness Event on Monday, October 24, in an effort to continue educating our community and promote discussion.
These important issues impact many of our students and others in the MCTC community. With the Super Bowl and other major attractions coming to the Twin Cities, we recognize that some of our students may be vulnerable to the pulls and lures of sex trafficking. For this reason, we are proactively adding sexual exploitation to this year’s agenda.
We are asking people to wear purple, orange, and/or teal on this day to support strides towards awareness.
