MCTC Students Place at SkillsUSA Skills Contests

Skills USA 2016 teamSeven Minneapolis Community & Technical College (MCTC) students from the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) and Electrical Construction departments recently competed in the SkillsUSA Minnesota skill contests the weekend of April 1-3, 2016. Tom Hiltner, Greg Skudlarek, and John Singel attended the conference as advisors.

Each of the MCTC students performed well at the competition and three MCTC students earned top spots among the 800 competitors from across the state.

Several thousand dollars worth of prizes were given out from industry sponsors to the top three spots of each contest.
