MCTC Hosts “Why Treaties Matter”
Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) and the MCTC student group United Nations of Indian Tribes for Education (UNITE) host “Why Treaties Matter: Self-Government in the Dakota and Ojibwe Nation”. The traveling exhibit is nationally recognized and was developed in partnership Minnesota Indian Affairs Council and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. UNITE and MCTC invite the community to come learn and share on Wednesday, April 6th at 12:00 for an exhibit opening prayer, statement, and drumming.
The “Why Treaties Matter: Self-Government in the Dakota and Ojibwe Nation” will be open for public viewing from March 31st to April 17th.
