Students Distribute Food and Clothing Donations
The MCTC Resource and Referral Center, along with Students Against Hunger and Homelessness
(SAHH) and the African American Educational Empowerment Program
(AME), held a week-long hunger and homelessness awareness campaign and collected donations of food and clothing for students in need throughout November. The donations were distributed on Nov. 22 at MCTC to some 70 people in time for Thanksgiving and the arrival of cold weather. The MCTC Photography Club
provided high-quality photography to attendees interested in holiday photographs or professional networking pictures.
The Resource and Referral Center connects currently enrolled students with supportive community networks, resources and opportunities to ease obstacles interfering with their success. In addition to connecting the community to available resources, the Center operates a food shelf year-round.
